Forum Europe, in cooperation with Accenture and Microsoft, has produced a series of events - titled The Brussels Tech Tables  - which convened experts from business, policy, civil society and other stakeholder groups to provide input into what the future technology-related priorities should be for Europe.

A comprehensive conversation on the IIoT security landscape, challenges and emerging concerns. Themes discussed included: supply chain security management; governance models for security in organizations; integrated protection of IIoT; managing cybersecurity over the lifecycle of IIoT.


6 March 2019 | Brussels

This half-day event provided input into what the future technology-related priorities should be for public safety in Europe. Gathering experts from business, policy, civil society and other stakeholder groups, participants discussed moving towards a responsible and ethical European AI ecosystem.

Timed to take place during a critical testing phase for banking APIs, the FinTech Tech Table brought together key stakeholders from banking, third parties and regulators to ask how financial institutions are gearing up to the next major open banking deadline in September 2019.

The rapid adoption of technologies, such as analytics, AI and robotics, is reshaping the world of work. Alongside changing skills needs, organisations continue to face a skills gap in their workforce. This roundtable explored the skills needs for businesses in the short, medium and long term and how to meet those needs.

In the context of the European Commission’s work towards a common European data space and planned future initiatives including a support centre for data sharing and developing standardise formats for data sets and APIs, this roundtable considered the real and practical challenges facing organisations of all sizes, in terms of both accessing good quality data and deriving value and how they can be addressed through a future governance model.
